And more in BC... they're extremely numerous out west.
Not that I have a hate-on for RHD or JDM imports, it's just that soooooooooooooooo many people buy cheap, poorly maintained D grade auction vehicles that are brought over by the boatload and sold to unsuspecting kids who are into this whole 'JDM' thing. I've helped a couple of disappointed guys troubleshoot their Fairladies and found filthy engines, poor compression, missing, broken and split vacuum lines, failed electronic modules, damaged radiators/intercoolers, bent frames, etc. These are cars sold through 'dealers' who wholesale import lots of JDM cars, not just Nissans. Unfortunately the combination of cheap price and JDM coolness blinds them to the obvious faults of the vehicle.
There are a few examples in Edmonton of nicely cleaned up JDM imported cars, Skylines, Silvias, and yes, Fairladies, but they had extensive work done to them here (I know many of the owners) and are definitely the exception.
It's just ridiculous when I ask a kid at a meet why he bought a RHD car, and he says 'to be different' while over his shoulder the parking lot is full of them.
